Alabama RB stays in state
Running back Dan Burks of Vestavia Hills, Ala., has made his decision and it’s one that’s keeping him in state.
“The opportunity to play running back and play baseball at UAB was better, so I went ahead and committed to UAB,” Burks, who is 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, said.

“Auburn (Jan. 11) wanted me to come in as a fullback and play only football. I wanted to have the better options.”
Burks is the No. 68 running back in the nation and a two-star selection.
