Alabama RB Jaylin White's ready to commit

October 10 is the date for Dothan (Ala.) running back Jaylin White. He planned to take his recruitment to December, then announce during the early signing period, but with visits banned through December, he has pushed his decision up.

"I wanted to take visits and all that first, but the coronavirus kind of changed those plans, so I have thought about the different schools and I am going to commit soon," said White.

"It is down to Florida State, Purdue and Florida. I have been talking to those schools all summer almost every day. They have recruited me hard, they have made me feel very important, and that is what it came down to.

"I was hoping to get out and visit all of those schools, but I wasn't able to, so I am going off everything else."

White has done multiple zoom calls with each school, he said Florida and South Carolina did virtual visits with him, and he was able to visit Tallahassee and Columbia early in 2020.

He feels he will be, or maybe already it ready for October 10.

"I have strong relationships with the coaches, I have seen enough, and I have an idea what school it will be," said White. "I started feeling like I knew my school early in September, so I have just been thinking about it hard since.

"I still have a little more time to think it over, but I think I know the school."
