Cedar Bluff (Ala.) quarterback

Cole Peace
says three schools have emerged at the forefront of his recruitment.
"The three major ones are Middle Tennessee, UAB and
Southern Miss," he said. "They've shown a lot more interest than anyone else. I
don't have any offers yet, but all three of them have set up dates to come watch
one of our games down here."
Peace (6-1, 210, 4.7) said he's also hearing from Alabama
and Indiana regularly, but has yet to receive calls from them this month.
"Kentucky had been calling, but they got a commitment from an in-state
quarterback (Andre Woodson) up there, and I haven't heard from them since then."
As a junior, Peace passed for 1,997 yards and 23 touchdowns
with only six interceptions. He was 7-for-15 for 160 yards and two touchdowns in
his first game as a senior -- and also ran for a TD -- but has missed the last
two games after having his knee scoped.
"I had a minor tear of the MCL like the Ohio State running
back (Maurice Clarett) did," he said. "It's all cleaned up now, though, and I
expect to play Friday. I feel great."
