Peace says two teams have shown the most interest heading
into December, but the coveted scholarship offers are still hanging in the
balance.
"UAB and Middle Tennessee are calling a lot. They're
recruiting me the hardest," he said. "I've got an offer from West Alabama,
but no one else has made me an official offer yet. They say to stay patient,
to wait and see how everything starts to shake down. I think everybody's
waiting on the JaMarcus Russells and those type of players to see where
they're going, then a bunch of us other guys will have some opportunities. I
can't really blame them. I've spent some time around JaMarcus. He's an
awesome player. So I'm just going to wait for my turn. I know it's going to
happen sooner or later."
Peace is also being recruited by Southern Miss,
where he's considering an official visit if a scholarship offer comes.
Louisville was heavily involved at one point, but has seemingly backed off.
"They don't call much anymore," he said. "I think I
heard where they got a commitment from a quarterback recently."
Peace (6-1, 210, 4.7) passed for more than 2,000
yards, 30 touchdowns and only six interceptions this season in leading Cedar
Bluff to an 11-2 record.
