Alabama OL has impressive offers

Montgomery (Ala.) Robert E. Lee offensive tackle R.J. Brisbon is one of the fastest rising big men in the South. He began picking up offers early this summer, but he is really beginning to put together an impressive list of offers.
“In the past couple of weeks I have gotten offers from Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Florida and Ole Miss,” Brisbon said. “Georgia is also close to offering me I think. They have been writing me a lot and talking to my coach a lot about it. I also think that Mississippi State might be close to offering.”

On Monday Brisbon was ranked as the No. 19 player in the state of Alabama. When the state rankings are updated in December, don’t be surprised to see Brisbon move up the list several spots.
“Right now I would say my top schools are Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Ole Miss,” Brisbon said. “I wouldn’t say that I have a leader. All of these new offers have really caught my eye and I want to see what everyone has to offer.”
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Brisbon runs the 40-yard dash in 5.2 seconds. The Generals will spend this week maxing out and Brisbon tested on the bench press today, where he reached a new max of 335 pounds.
“Right now I’m focused on my senior season,” Brisbon said. “I haven’t started thinking a lot about official visits or anything like that. I will probably wait until after the season is over to make my decision.”
This summer Brisbon attended camps at Auburn and Alabama. He is being recruited as both an offensive guard and tackle.
“Most schools are talking to me about playing tackle,” Brisbon said. “I would really rather play tackle. I feel more natural there. I would play guard, but I just think that I would make a better tackle.”
