Alabama OL adds fifth visit, has leader

Three-star Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Hillcrest offensive lineman Cody Davis has penciled in his fifth and final official visit.
“Clemson came in to visit me on Sunday, and I set my official visit up with them for Jan. 9,” he said. “That was the date I was going to visit Florida, but we’re rescheduling that one so I can visit Clemson with a couple of my teammates – Jake Wingo and Travis Robinson. The Florida visit will probably be Dec. 19 now.”

Davis (6-5, 270, 5.1) also has dates set up with Auburn (1/16), South Carolina (1/23) and Alabama (1/30).
The Crimson Tide appear to be the team to beat at this point.
“Alabama, Auburn and Florida would be one, two and three,” Davis said. “Coach Shula is coming to see me Wednesday night. That’s pretty exciting. I’m really looking forward to that. I think he’s got them heading in the right direction.”
Auburn continues to hang tough despite the recent controversy surrounding coach Tommy Tuberville.
“I don’t pay much attention to all that,” he said. “Most of it was just rumors and stuff like that. He’s a good man, a good coach, and they’ve got a great program. I’m definitely still interested.”
