Alabama offers four-star DE

Keisean Lucier-South had an excellent showing at the RCS Southern California this past weekend. Things got even more exciting for him Tuesday when Alabama offered.
"They have been sending me letters," Lucier-South said. "The last time I talked to them was last year in the springtime of my sophomore year. They had kept sending letters.

"(Monday) my coach told me coach (Lane) Kiffin called him and they talked. (Tuesday) I talked to Nick Saban. We had a good talk and he offered me right there."
Lucier-South said his conversation with Saban definitely impressed him and that the Crimson Tide has to be given a serious shot as his recruitment continues.
"It was cool and nervous," Lucier-South said. "I was shaking when I was talking to him. He was a good guy. I really liked him. He was talking about academics more than football which I really liked about him. It was a great talk."
The Orange (Calif.) Lutheran four-star defensive end who was invited to the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge in Baltimore after his showing at the camp on Saturday has been picking up major offers left and right with LSU being one of the latest as well.
The 6-foot-4, 211-pound recruit said there are no outright favorites at this time but Michigan, UCLA, USC, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas are a few standout programs.
Lucier-South, rated as the sixth-best weak-side defensive end and the No. 75 prospect in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, recently had an enjoyable trip to UCLA and is planning to visit USC in the coming weeks.
It is possible the four-star standout will take some crucial unofficial visits this summer with Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas and now Alabama under serious consideration. The four-star has called Michigan his dream school.
After picking up the Crimson Tide offer, Lucier-South said Alabama is right in the mix with his other top teams.
"I'm really going to look at them," Lucier-South said. "It's a big school. I'm a California kid and we don't really get Alabama offers. It's a huge thing so I'm going to look at them and I might take a visit there during the summertime. I really want to go out there and check it out."
