Alabama offers 2017 receiver

Keyshawn Johnson Jr. talked with Alabama coach Nick Saban on Monday even though the 2017 wide receiver was busy playing in a 7on7 tournament.
When Saban wants to talk, you dial up Tuscaloosa.

The Calabasas, Calif., standout landed his newest offer from the Crimson Tide and it's definitely a big one for Johnson, who has received plenty of major offers in the last few months.
Earlier in the day, Johnson, who could also be close to an offer from Nebraska, said he was supposed to talk with Saban Monday night but the call happened earlier.
"Lane Kiffin showed my film to coach Saban and they said they wanted to talk to me," Johnson said.
"That's one of the best schools ever in college football history. If I could get that I would be really excited and I'd be more confident in myself. If someone like Nick Saban wants to offer me a scholarship that would be crazy.
"If I was to get the Alabama offer I would definitely look into it. The SEC is different than the Pac-12 and a lot of other schools. I would definitely be interested."
The 2017 prospect should be getting a look at Alabama soon as well. His father runs the Team 19 7on7 group and is planning a trip to Texas this weekend to visit Texas, Baylor, SMU and Texas A&M.
Later in the spring, Team 19 members are expected to take a tour of the SEC and Tuscaloosa is expected to be a stop. With the offer now, Johnson said he's excited to see what it's like there to see where the Crimson Tide would stand in his recruitment.
So far, the Calabasas receiver has landed offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Cal, Clemson, Florida State, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Ohio State, San Diego State, SMU, Syracuse, Tennessee, UCLA, Wake Forest and West Virginia.
