The College Football Playoff is approaching and Alabama is the overwhelming favorite to bring home the trophy for a second straight season. It’ll be up to Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Clemson to stop that from taking place. At this week’s Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic, elite prospects from both states weighed in which of three has the best chance to stop the undefeated Crimson Tide.

“Clemson. It seems like they’ve been at that same level for the last couple years and they are explosive enough to do it. I thought Georgia was actually going to beat them, but Clemson seems like the only team left that can compete.”

--Rivals250 Mississippi State commit Charles Moore

“I’d say Clemson. They have a good defensive line, and that’s the only way you have a chance.”

--Rivals250 Auburn commit Jaren Handy

“Nobody. They’re that good. The comeback against Georgia was impressive.” -- Running back Jalen Henderson

“I don’t see anyone stopping them. They’re better than everyone else … and by a lot.” --Auburn commit Nehemiah Pritchett

“Clemson. They’ve stopped them before, so I think they can do it again.”

--Pitt commit Brandon Mack

“Lately, I’ve been feeling like Clemson will beat them. You saw what Georgia did. When you have a good defensive line, it disrupts them a little bit. I actually think they will beat them. I think they’ll keep them off the field and not let them take the clock over.”

-- Ole Miss commit Patrick Lucas

“Clemson because they have a strong defensive line. I think they can make Alabama throw the ball a little bit more. I don’t see anyone else really having a chance.”

-- Mississippi State commit DJ James

“Obviously, the three teams have a great chance. That’s why they’re there. I think it could be any of them. I haven’t watched much of all of them and don’t know their game plans, so I’ll just say one of the three.”

-- Rivals100 Auburn commit Bo Nix

“That Bama team, man. Not this year. It’s gonna be nobody. My pick is nobody.”

-- Arkansas commit A'montae Spivey

“It’s going to be Clemson. I just have that feeling, you know?”

-- Wide receiver Tre Ross
