Alabama lurking for 2016 standout DB

Class of 2016 Nashville (Tenn.) Father Ryan athlete JoeJuan Williams has an early top three of Tennessee, LSU and Vanderbilt, but interest from one SEC program could shake up his favorites.
"I went down to camp at Alabama and afterwards I had a meeting with Coach Steele," the 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect said. "He told me I did a great job and they were going to go over my film and wanted me to call him later. When I did he said Coach Saban wants to offer but he wants to see my in person so we're going to go back down there again after the dead period."

Williams said that he's high on the Tide and an offer would put the program high on his list.
"I love it down there," Williams said. "They have a great tradition and Coach Saban is great with defensive backs. If they offer they'll jump into my top three."
Williams said if Alabama is to replace a school it will likely be Vanderbilt, with both Tennessee and LSU still showing him plenty of attention.
"I talk to Tennessee and LSU all the time," he said. "Coach Thigpen at Tennessee is a great coach and recruiter and we talk a lot about football and joke around a lot."
Williams said the Tigers are high on his list after a great visit earlier this year.
"They have great coaches and great academics and I talk to Coach Miles a bunch," Williams said. "I toured the whole campus and the academic facilities and it was great."
