Alabama lineman holds Boise State offer

Last season, Leroy (Ala.) High School went on a furious playoff run to win the 2A State Championship in Alabama. This season the run hasn't stopped and as the 2008 playoffs approach, Leroy is undefeated and ready to make another run. A big reason for that success is the play off offensive tackle Aaron Williams.
At 6-foot-5, 260 pounds, Williams is an athletic offensive lineman who is sparking a lot of recent attention, most recently from Boise State.

"Boise State offered me," Williams said. "They offered at the end of last month. I'm just doing my part now just getting my grades up. I talk to them every week. I've been going to their website, looking at their facilities. I think it's a great college. It's a little bit far from home but I think that would be a great challenge for me."
Williams is also hearing from the likes of UAB, Tulane and Arkansas State. However, Boise State and the offer has had Williams thinking hard about heading west.
"I've been kind of wanting to wait but Boise State to me is a great college," he said. "You can't get too much better than that so I've been thinking about verbally committing but I think I'm going to wait a little longer."
Williams has yet to work out a visit to Boise, but does hope to get one scheduled in the future. Until then, he will be focused on the playoffs and a second straight state championship.
"We're 10-0 and going into the first round of the playoffs," he said. "I'm very excited. We'll be playing some new people so it's going to be real fun."
