Alabama LB will head west

The Oregon Ducks have made a living off of finding under recruited and diamond in the rough types and then coach them up making them into outstanding football players. It looks like the Ducks are up to old tricks.
It has been confirmed the Oregon Ducks received the verbal commitment of outside linebacker Tucker Callahan (6-2, 205, 4.7) from Fairhope, Ala.

“I wanted to tell you that we have confirmed that Tucker committed to Oregon,” Fairhope coach Mark Lassister said. “He’s extremely excited about playing in the Pac-10.”
The Ducks get a player with a keen eye for the football and a non-stop motor.
For the season of 2004, Callahan recorded approximately 70 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and seven sacks.
Callahan is tenacious and tough. He tried to go on a sprained ankle during a playoff but couldn’t go once the second half came around.
Fairhope ended up losing that game 19-16.
Callahan is what is called football fast. He’s good against the run and he’s fast enough to man cover on passing plays.
Another thing to like about Callahan was the cornerstone for the state of Alabama’s No. 1 defense. Fairhope only allowed an average of 6.3 points per game. Callahan was one of the main reasons why.
The Ducks win the services of Callahan over UAB (offer), Tulane and Vanderbilt.
