Terrence Jones was set to take his first official visit this
weekend, but has made some changes to his list.
"I was supposed to go to UAB, but I haven't heard
much from them lately, so I'm not sure if we'll reschedule that or not," he
said. "My first one will be this coming weekend at Southern Miss."
Jones (6-1, 205, 4.5) is a member of the Rivals.com
Alabama
Top 30 team and the No. 27 outside linebacker in the nation.
In addition to USM, he's also scheduled dates with Auburn (1/10) and Ole
Miss (1/17).
"I'm thinking about Alabama and Louisville for the
other ones," he said. "I want to see who the new coach will be at Alabama,
who ends up on that staff. They had kind of backed off me before (Dennis)
Franchione left. I want to see if they get back involved."
Jones said he has no current favorite, but "the SEC
schools would probably get the edge."
As a senior, Jones helped lead Tuscaloosa County to
a 9-4 record. He finished with 108 tackles and five sacks.
