Alabama LB ready for visits

Carlton Rice has set up four
official visits.

Alabama Top 30 team, Rice will
visit UT-Chattanooga on Jan. 10, Memphis on Jan. 17, Alabama State on Jan. 24
and Middle Tennessee on Jan. 31.
"I'm keeping the fifth one open in case a few teams make
a run at me late," he said. "I'm hoping to hear back from a couple of SEC
schools."
Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Kentucky could be
involved for the final spot.
"I don't have a favorite at this point," he said. "I
want to wait as long as possible and see what all my options are."
As a senior at J.O. Johnson High School, Rice (6-1, 206,
4.6) rushed for 1,440 yards and 17 touchdowns and caught 230 yards in passes
with three touchdowns as an all-purpose back. As a linebacker, he recorded 85
tackles, five sacks and two interceptions.
