"I was thinking long and hard about it over the weekend, and decided it was time to go ahead and get it over with. I'm a Tiger now. I'm committed to Auburn."
Martin is the Tigers' 10th known commitment. He picked Auburn over Notre Dame, Louisville, Middle Tennessee State and Duke.
Martin is a player that is just shooting up the recruiting charts. He didn't have an impressive summer camp campaign, but with a solid senior season has proven that he's more than good enough to play in the SEC.
He had trips to Notre Dame, Louisville lined up already but he is not canceling them. He is set to visit Auburn on Jan. 18.
The athletic Martin runs a 4.6 40-yard dash, has a 310-pound bench, 550-pound squat, and a 37-inch vertical leap. He has also been a three-year starter at small forward on the basketball team.
Martin is an excellent student and carries a 3.65 GPA and a 21 ACT. He would like to major in civil engineering. Academics and location are important to Martin.
