Alabama LB gets Big 12 offer

Jake Holland is one of the top linebacker prospects from the state of Alabama. Holland, 6-1 and 215 pounds, is from Pelham (Ala.) High School. Today, he picked up another scholarship offer.
"I spoke with coach (Chris) Cosh (defensive coordinator/linebacker coach) and coach (Bill) Snyder and they offered me a scholarship today," Holland said. "Basically, Coach Snyder and his reputation is the main thing (about what I like about K-State). He came out of retirement to turn K-State back around, and based on his history, I believe he'll do that. Also K-State is more of agriculture-science school and I like that. I am interested in building sciences. This is my first Big 12 offer and so that's exciting too.
"My position coach would be defensive coordinator Chris Cosh and I like Coach Cosh. His oldest son J.J. and my older brother Wes played slot back together at Navy as freshmen. My Dad got to know Coach Cosh through that."

That's Holland's fourth offer. Duke, UAB, and Vanderbilt and have previously offered him. Last season as a junior he recorded 112 tackles in 11 games. Holland will attend a junior day at Alabama this weekend.
"Honestly, to already have SEC, ACC and Big 12 offers is very humbling and exciting at this point."
