Alabama lands four-star wide receiver Amari Jefferson

Alabama added more offensive firepower to their 2024 recruiting class on Saturday with the commitment of four-star wide receiver Amari Jefferson, who chose the Crimson Tide over a final three that also included Georgia and Tennessee.

Jefferson took June officials to all three programs before returning to both Tennessee and Alabama for July unofficials.

With four-star Perry Thompson recently flipping his commitment to Auburn, Jefferson's addition definitely softens the blow of the Thompson loss.

Jefferson, a Chattanooga, Tennessee native, is now the second wide receiver commitment for Alabama in the 2024 class, joining fellow four-star talent Rico Scott out of Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt.

Alabama also has talented four-star tight end Caleb Odom in the class as well.

While starting off his high school career at quarterback, Jefferson made the move to wide receiver before his junior season and didn't disappoint, hauling in 72 catches for 1,370 yards and 17 touchdowns while helping lead his team to an 11-2 record and a DII-AA state championship.

Also of note, Jefferson had been Tennessee baseball commitment since his freshman season. So, another feather in the cap for the Crimson Tide.
