Alabama DE close to first offer

Morris (Ala.) Mortimer Jordan defensive end prospect John Burrow is waiting on his first scholarship offer, but is getting plenty of attention from a number of programs, including one from the Southeastern Conference that has indicated an offer could be forthcoming.
"Recruiting is going real, real good right now," Burrow said. "Alabama and Auburn both came to the schools and I am going up for their summer camps. My dad talked to a coach at Georgia Tech. Louisville and Clemson both have been by and they are sending me stuff. I am debating on going to one of those places for summer camp.

"The UAB head coach came to the school to see me, too."
Vanderbilt recruiter Robbie Caldwell has been in touch with the 6-foot-4, 210-pounder. Burrow believes an offer from the Commodores is just right around the corner.
"I am going up there and am going to meet the head coach (Bobby Johnson)," Burrow said. "I think they want to wait to finalize the offer at that time. No other school seems to be as close to making the offer as Vanderbilt."
Burrow talked about what he is looking for in a school.
"I just want to see what the school has to offer," he said. "I'm just going to go to campus and meet everyone."
Burrow had 138 tackles and nine sacks during his junior season.
