Alabama DB likes Cards, Eagles

Beauregard (Ala.) defensive back Ladarius Webb has two schools at the top of his list as the recruiting process winds down.
“The main two are Louisville and Southern Miss,” he said. “I’m hearing from Mississippi State, too, but they haven’t offered yet.

“I’m going to visit Louisville on the weekend of the 16th, 17th and 18th, and then the weekend after that I’ll be going to Southern Miss.”
Is there a leader at this point?
“I think they’re pretty close,” he said. “They’re both good schools, good programs that get some TV exposure and win quite a few games. I like Southern Miss from what I’ve seen of them. I like the location, too.
“But I’m not opposed to going away from home. Part of me wouldn’t mind experiencing something new up north at Louisville. Their coach tells me there’s a real good opportunity to come in and play as a freshman, so I like that, too.”
As a senior, Webb recorded more than 1,000 yards of total offense and 17 combined touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, he intercepted 10 passes and ran two back for touchdowns.
