Akron LB had a busy summer

It's been a while since Rivals.com checked in with Akron (Ohio) Hoban linebacker Dan Dario, but while things have been slow in the update department, it's hardly been slow for him when it comes to attention from colleges.
The 6-foot, 229-pound inside linebacker has hit camps at West Virginia, Indiana, Illinois and Northwestern. He heads down the road to Akron's camp this weekend, and hopefully he'll get another chance to impress the Zips – the lone school that has offered him so far.

"I think I've had a good summer," Dario said. "For the most part I liked all of the camps I went to. I'd say that I probably liked three of the four the best – West Virginia, Indiana and Northwestern. I'm going to check out Akron again, and we'll see how that goes."
Don't expect a decision, though, from Dario soon. Even though he has one offer on the table, he wants more before he makes a decision.
"I'm going to try to wait it out through the season," he said. "I want to see what happens, who might offer me and how things go."
Dario and his teammates have been in team camp since Monday, preparing for the rapidly approaching seasons.
"It's hot here," Dario said. "But we're doing really good. I think we should be pretty good on the defensive side of the ball. I'm mainly playing defense, but if they need me at tight end I'll come in and help. But I'd rather play defense."
He lists Brian Urlacher, Ray Lewis and Dick Butkus – "hard-nosed" players – as players he admires. As a junior, Dario had 143 tackles, 21 tackles for a loss and 12 sacks.
