Akingbulu excited for trip

Not much is new with the recruitment of Alex Akingbulu except he has a Halloween weekend visit to Cal that is planned and the four-star offensive lineman is definitely looking forward to it. UCLA, Utah and Michigan remain the three other favorites in his recruitment.

WHAT'S NEXT?: The Cal visit could be crucial for Akingbulu, who will take an official trip to UCLA in January and is considering others but nothing is finalized yet. The four-star offensive tackle from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne likes a whole lot about the Golden Bears so getting to campus later this month for the USC contest could sway him Cal's way.

IN HIS WORDS: "Nothing has changed pretty much," Akingbulu said. "Just can't wait for my upcoming Cal visit."

RIVALS' REACTION: If UCLA wants to take another offensive lineman in this recruiting class then the Bruins could be tough to beat for Akingbulu but this upcoming Cal visit is crucially important. If the four-star loves Berkeley and the environment there then he could seriously get much more involved with the Golden Bears. The Cal trip could drastically change Akingbulu's recruitment in the coming weeks.
