Akingbulu adds school to top list

UCLA and Michigan were the frontrunners for four-star offensive tackle Alex Akingbulu and after a weekend unofficial visit he has another school to add to that top list.
"I just took a visit (Saturday) to Utah and after going there I just felt like it was a great school so Utah has jumped into my top three right now," Akingbulu said Sunday at the Tom Lemming photo shoot at UCLA.

"I just love all the coaches. It seems way more family-oriented. On arrival there it seems like I knew them forever. It was a great feel over there. I love the campus. I love the way they're all family over there."
Utah has jumped into the top group but UCLA and Michigan have been there for a long time and the Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne standout is getting much more familiar with both programs.
That could ramp up even more in the coming weeks because Akingbulu said he plans to visit Michigan in the next week or so and then he will return to UCLA soon to get a better feel for that place as well.
Still, with the recruiting process just getting started for Akingbulu, the four-star said he doesn't plan to commit any time soon.
"With Michigan, I like the organization and the way they're going in the future and just how experienced and how good the coaching staff is with (Jim) Harbaugh and (offensive line coach Tim) Drevno and those guys," Akingbulu said.
"With UCLA, it's local and one of the schools I always thought of as a kid. It's a great atmosphere. I'm probably going to take my time with it, probably take some officials my senior year."
Akingbulu has a top three and said no other programs other than the ones who have already offered have reached out in recent weeks.
