Air Force pulls an OL out of Georgia

There were a lot of reasons why Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison center Nick Jackson liked the Air Force Academy, enough reasons that he saw no point in continuing the recruiting process. Recently, the 6-foot-4, 291-pounder committed to Air Force and is looking forward to his future as a Falcon.
"I committed to Air Force," Jackson said. "I did it probably three or four weeks ago. Everything felt at home. All the coaches were really nice. I liked the campus a lot and I liked the career opportunities it presents. Everything was real nice."

While the Academy at times is hamstrung in its recruiting by the military obligations that its players are required to fulfill, Jackson looked at that as a plus.
"I went on campus just to see it and I was really thinking about it before I got there because I always wanted to join the military," he said. "At the Air Force I can play football and be in the military."
Some of the other programs that were showing Jackson interest were Miami-OH, Louisville, Duke, Wake Forest, Kentucky and Mississippi State but none of them left him with the feeling that Air Force did.
What will Jackson be bringing to Colorado Springs, Colo.?
"I work hard," he said. "I'm a leader and I like to play football, and I like to hit people."
