Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna athlete Kamar Aiken has his focus on the forthcoming season, but he does currently have a list of five programs on top for his services at the next level.
The 6-foot-1, 198-pounder currently has Florida, Florida State, Auburn, South Carolina and Georgia in his top five. The Gators and Seminoles still are out in front.
"I think I will take all of my official visits," Aiken said. "Everything has been going good with recruiting. I'm just focusing on my senior season right now."
Aiken, who projects as a wide receiver or a safety in college, participated in Auburn's elite one-day prospect camp on July 15. He worked out as a wide receiver and was one of the top prospects to work out at that position that day.
"That was good," Aiken said. "We got to bond a little bit with the players, so that was good."
The Gamecocks and Bulldogs are newcomers to Aiken's top five.
"I always liked South Carolina I just never said anything about them," Aiken said. "I like the offense and how they pass the ball."
Family ties to Georgia have the Bulldogs in the picture.
"I like the area," he said. "The Georgia area. My aunt lives in Georgia."
Aiken plans to take his official visits following the football season and have an announcement after he takes them.
"I think our coach wants us to wait," he said.
Aiken and his teammates started practicing in shorts and helmets on Monday.
Aiken is a three-star rated prospect and the No. 60 overall prospect in the state of Florida according to Rivals.com.
