Chaz Ah You had been planning to visit Stanford this past weekend for the big rivalry matchup against California to see two of the schools already on his offer sheet.

Instead, the four-star safety from Saratoga Springs (Utah) Westlake traveled to Oregon after the Ducks ramped up their interest in recent weeks.
The change in plans paid off, as Ah You got a close look at the program Friday, saw Oregon beat USC on Saturday and returned home with a Ducks scholarship offer, his 15th overall.

IN HIS WORDS: "The Oregon visit was awesome," Ah You's father, Jasen, told Rivals.com. "They set up activities for Friday and Saturday he was with all the official visit guys. He met individually with the coaches Friday night and, man, they came out strong versus USC.
"Oregon was one of Chaz's dream schools before the whole recruiting process started. They would be right there near the top, but definitely behind UCLA and Stanford due the on-going relationship we have with both of those staffs. We are, however, looking forward to building a great relationship with coach (John) Neal, coach (Don) Pellum, coach (Erik) Chinander and coach (Mark) Helfrich."
WHAT'S NEXT?: Ah You, the No. 2-rated player in Utah for the 2017 class, plans to play basketball this winter before turning his full attention back to the gridiron. He could make it back to the Golden State at some point during the offseason to check out the Bruins and Cardinal again, but it's clear he is keeping all of his options open as more programs enter the fold.
