Aghayere next in line at Garland

It seems that every year Garland (Texas) High School boasts at least one top defensive line prospect. This year is no different with junior Chancey Aghayere on the scene as a 2008 prospect receiving early interest.
The last two top defensive linemen included former four-star and Florida defensive tackle signee Brandon Antwine and this year's three-star defensive end Marquis Frazier. Aghayere is doing what both of those prospects did by racking up tackles and sacks midway through his junior season.

"I'm a versatile defensive end," Aghayere said. "I don't think I'm power over speed. I kind of just do it all."
When asked who was sending him mail, Aghayere listed Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Baylor, Missouri, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, Purdue, LSU, Michigan State, and several others.
Three of those stand out early.
"Favorites, those would probably be Texas, OSU, and Florida right now," Aghayere said. "It's because I've been a Longhorn fan forever. OSU, I just like how their program is on the rise. Florida, I just really like the city of Gainesville."
Aghayere got his first action as a sophomore where he came in and shared time on the defensive line that included both Frazier and Antwine. Before leaving for Florida, Antwine was a player that gave Aghayere some recruiting advice.
One thing he said was to take things slow.
"He said to not worry about every little letter and who is or isn't recruiting me," Aghayere said. "He just said to take it slow and when it's early, to just look at everybody. That's what I'm doing."
