Aggies visit with Louisiana RB

Amite, La., running back/linebacker Kendrick Perry is one of the top prospects in the Pelican State. Today he hosted coaches from a Big 12 school and has began the process of setting up his official visits.
“Coach Fobbs from Texas A&M was in here today,” Perry said. “We talked a while, he is a pretty cool guy. We get along real well. Southern Miss is supposed to be sending some coaches for an in-home visit next week.”

Perry has helped lead his team into the semi-finals and will take on St. James on Friday for the right to play in the 3A state championship in the Super Dome.
“I am not going to set any specific dates until after the season is over, but I’ve been thinking about official visits lately,” Perry said. “I am going to visit Texas A&M and Ole Miss in December if I can, but definitely by January. I am also going to take an official visit to Southern Miss in January.”
Perry fits the bill of the jumbo-athlete perfectly, but wants to stay at running back in college. The 6-foot-2, 216-pound Perry runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds.
“Right now I am still pretty open,” Perry said. “When the season is over I am going to evaluate what schools are recruiting me and start trimming down my list. Right now I don’t have any leaders, but I do like Texas A&M a lot.”
As a junior Perry rushed for just over 800 yards and 11 touchdowns despite missing six weeks with a badly sprained ankle. So far this season he has rushed for 300 yards and four touchdowns in his first two games.
