Aggies to get visit from Tulsa DB

Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington two-star safety Jamel Jones is on one of the top teams not only in Oklahoma but in the entire nation. Booker T. is poised and ready to make a run at a state championship – a title that has been elusive for the Hornets for quite some time.
“This is the year we do it,” Jones, who is 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, said. “We’ve worked really hard, and we think all the pieces are in place for to take it all the way. Right now it looks like Carl Albert might be the toughest test for us, but we’ll just have to play our style of ball and keep working hard.”

Jones has been working hard on the recruiting front, too. Jones said he has recently lined up an official visit with Texas A&M for December 10. He is also talking to Indiana, North Carolina, Missouri, Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas. At this point. CU – a staple team for Booker T. prospects – is his lone scholarship offer.
“Coach Thurman is the coach at A&M that’s recruiting me,” Jones said. “He’s a really cool guy. I also like coach Blake at Nebraska and the coach at Kansas is a good guy too.”
