Afia working on visit schedule

Philip Afia has a group of schools showing the most interest and the three-star defensive back has one official visit planned so far with a decision tentatively planned for midseason.
The Chino Hills (Calif.) Ayala standout has already landed offers from Boise State, Fresno State, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV, Utah, Utah State and Washington State.

There is a top group but no favorites yet.
"The main schools showing interest, a lot of them are showing interest, but the main ones that I've been getting the most from are Washington State, Oregon State, Utah, Boise State and Fresno State," Afia said.
"Those are the top schools showing me love right now."
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound three-star recruit has not booked any official visits yet but one is basically coming together in the Pac-12. It could be a big trip for Afia, who said he wants to take a few of his official visits and then make a decision around the middle of the season.
"I think I'm setting up an official visit for Oregon State in November when they play Cal," Afia said. "I haven't set up any other ones yet.
"I think I'm going to take maybe three or four. I do plan on taking a majority of them."
Visits will be important. There are a few schools showing the most interest but the Chino Hills Ayala standout said his trips will really determine which program fits best for him.
"I don't have any favorites yet," Afia said. "That's why I'm waiting for my visits. I love all the coaches and the areas but I want to meet every coach and see every school to see game days and all their traditions before I decide."
