Add another to Alabamas pledge list

Decatur (Ala.) Austin standout Juwan Garth committed to Alabama this past Friday, joining defensive end Kyle Tatum and defensive back Ramzee Robinson to give the Crimson Tide a terrific trio over the weekend.
“I committed to them on Friday,” said Garth, a 6-foot-3, 187-pound speedster who will play outside linebacker at Alabama.

“I grew up loving Alabama and they were the first ones to write me and offer me. They’ve been recruiting me since I was a sophomore.”
Although Alabama was the only offer for Garth so far, he was also being heavily recruited by Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Louisville and Memphis. He also had the attention of Auburn early.
“Auburn was recruiting me early and sent a bunch of stuff,” he said. “But that slowed down lately. I think the others wanted to see the first couple game of my senior season, but it didn’t matter. I’m happy with my choice.”
Last season Garth made 80 tackles, recovered three fumbles, sacked the quarterback four times and took an interception back 80 yards for a touchdown.
