Coach Joe Paterno and the Penn State Nittany Lions are on a roll.
Orange, N.J., defensive tackle Jason Alford has committed to Penn State over Miami and Rutgers.

“Joe Paterno was at our school yesterday, and Jason gave him a verbal commitment,” Orange Assistant Principal and Athletic Director George Noble told Blue and White Illustrated.
“Joe was here for about two hours yesterday, and spoke to our middle school students. Paterno said he was thrilled to talk with the students because they asked a lot of questions.”
Alford is unavailable for comment because of a class trip. But it's another solid pickup for the Nittany Lions, who are quickly climbing the recruiting charts.
