Adams racking up offers

For junior defensive tackle Montravius Adams of Dooly County (Ga.), the offers have come pretty regularly in recent weeks.
On Wednesday, he landed another one.

"Miami offered today," Adams told Rivals.com.
The Hurricanes join Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Michigan State, all of which previously pulled the trigger. This weekend, Adams will visit Clemson, which was the first to offer, doing so last year. Last month, while competing at the Georgia Junior Bowl in Atlanta, Adams called the Tigers his early leader.
"They still are, kind of," Adams said. "But I'm open to everybody.
Last week, the 6-feet-3, 290-pound Adams, who recorded 45 tackles for loss in 2011, attended junior day at Auburn.
"It was nice," he said. "I like it there. When we got there, we met the coaches, and some of the players got to talk to them. Then we watched a little of the basketball game. Some players got to talk to the head coach [Gene Chizik]. I talked to him. We talked about school, and my education, and my grades. I like Auburn. They used to be my favorite team."
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Chizik will stop by Dooly County on Thursday. And apparently he won't be alone. Alabama coach Nick Saban and Tennessee coach Derek Dooley also are expected to drop in.
"I don't even know most of the time [who's coming]" Adams said. "I kind of find out as I get there. "
According to Adams, besides Clemson, he also plans to make trips to Alabama, Florida and Georgia this spring for junior days. Right now, he's taking things slow … even though offers are coming fast.
"I think I'm going to wait it out [before making a commitment]," Adams said.
