Adams looking for rise in recruiting

ORLANDO, Fla. - Houston Westside receiver Alonzo Adams came to the East Meets West All-American game with a mission to improve his recruiting stock.
With his first scholarship offer in hand now from Tulane, the ball is certainly rolling. After having a solid week at the East Meets West All-American game, Adams is hoping that he can turn that one offer into several.

"Hopefully this will give me some exposure," Adams said. "Coming out of Texas, I think I'm one of the most underrated players in the state. I went out trying to see if I could hang with some of the best across the nation."
Adams says that he's not the biggest, so he relies on other skills to set himself apart.
"It's my route running that separates me," Adams said. "Getting off jams and making people miss is what I do. I've also got soft hands, which helps."
TCU, Tulane, and FIU are the teams that Adams has been hearing from as of late. Tulane, who made the first offer, will get the first of three official visits.
"All three schools are even right now, so I'm going to take trips and see what I can come up with," Adams said. "I think Jan. 19 I'll be at Tulane and the following weekend (Jan. 26), I'll be at TCU. I'm still talking to FIU about setting up one."
