Adams impressed with Virginia Tech

Linebacker Terry Adams out of Elkin, N.C. recently took a visit to Virginia Tech for a photo shoot. How did his trip to Blacksburg go?
"I liked the add-on to the stadium and the school facilities were really nice," he said. "My family and I took a tour of the school for twenty minutes and saw the rest of the facilities and dorms, it's real nice. I also liked the Hokie Stone on all the walls of the buildings. What really stood out though was the Michael Vick Hall of Fame room which was really nice.

"They have great coaches, I really only knew about coach Beamer who is a real nice coach, but all the staff is really nice. The staff was really talkative and they made you feel like you're at home."
Did the visit sway him closer to the Hokies?
"I don't put anybody at the top of my list right now, but Virginia Tech is a really nice school," he said. "I'm still evaluating a lot of the schools, but my top nine right now if I had to name them would be Wake Forest, Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina State and South Carolina."
Adams lone offer is still from North Carolina State.
The 5-foot-11, 212-pound prospect is preparing for upcoming combines including possibly the Virginia Tech NIKE Camp and the Elite College Combine at East Rutherford.
This summer Adams is considering a few different camps including North Carolina State, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, but has yet to set anything up.
Adams posted 149 tackles as he was named first team all-state and conference player of the year.
