Adams helps lead Cary in the playoffs

Four-star running back Josh Adams out of Cary, N.C. is preparing for a second round matchup this Friday against South View. The 6-foot-0, 170-pounder with 4.58-second speed has had a breakout year including an impressive 263 yard rushing day with three total touchdowns last week against New Hanover.
"This year I've rushed for 2,430 yards and 27 touchdowns," he said. "I'm trying to get myself to average about 200 yards a game. I'm pretty happy with how I've played and I can say our whole team is working hard to get the job done. Our team is doing a good job on both sides of the ball. The defense is stepping up a lot and the offense is helping me to hit the holes."

Not much has changed for the Rivals250 prospect in recruiting.
"Right now I'm still focusing on the season and playoffs," he said. "I'll worry about recruiting after because I don't want anything in the way of my team now. I can say I don't have anyone in my top five and I'm wide open amongst the same teams from before."
A couple weeks back Adams took in a game at Tennessee.
"It was a lot different from ACC games as they have a bigger stadium and the weather was a little different, it was chilly," he said. "I went and saw the walk of champions and that was good. I liked the fans there too, they make you feel welcome and SEC football is just really different, but it was a good different."
