Adams Commits

Fork Union (Va.) Military tight end/defense end Gaines Adams has made up his mind....again.
"He's committed to North Carolina," said Fork Union head coach John Shuman. "He's always liked UNC the best but he wanted to make sure. He went to Clemson this weekend but decided that North Carolina was the best fit."

Adams, a 6-foot-6, 240-pounder, had offers from UNC, Clemson, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Michigan State among others. He had already decided to attend North Carolina before Christmas, but backed off until he could re-evaluate and talk to some more schools.
"Check back with me next week," joked Shuman. "No, this time I think it's a done deal. Gaines is headed to North Carolina."
