Action Jackson even better as a senior

River Ridge (La.) John Curtis year in and year out is one of the top programs in the state of Louisiana and this year is no exception. It’s also always home to some of the top players in the Southeast and it’s also no exception either. That’s because it’s home to three-star outside linebacker Jacque Jackson.
Jackson, who is 6-foot and 210 pounds, has flown under the national recruiting radar, but for teams that have discovered him they know he’s one of the Bayou State’s best bets.

“I’ve definitely gotten a lot better than in my junior season,” he said. “I’m a lot more physical and I attack blocks so much better than before. I think it’s just my aggressiveness and my overall improvement that has made me better. I’m definitely a better player than last year.”
And the improvement has paid off with scholarship offers from UCLA and Bowling Green. It’s also paid off with major interest from Arkansas and several other programs. But at this point with a state championship still possibly in the works, Jackson has kept his sights set on the ring.
“We have to win,” he said. “I’m so hungry for the title, I can taste it. That’s what I’m mainly focused on now – winning that state title.”
When he curbs his appetite, look for him to begin to take official visits and begin the process of hosting coaches in his home. Ball State assistant Vance Joseph and UCLA assistant Eric Bienemy are the two recruiters he mentioned by name, but he said Arkansas is also on the verge of offering him.
“Arkansas is evaluating my highlight tape,” he said. “I’m going to visit Bowling Green for sure. I just got off the phone with them. Coach Joseph is supposed to come by the house next week. I’m also really into UCLA, too. I talked to them about coming out there for the Arizona basketball game, and coach Joseph talked to me about visiting there on the 14th of January.”
