ADAM BALOGOUN-ALI'S VISIT TO NORTH CAROLINA ON MARCH 29
A two-sport star who has since shifted his focus exclusively to football, the spring is now wide-open for the versatile linebacker and it means a lot of trips are coming down the pike. Most are unofficial visits at this point, and the slate includes a trip to North Carolina on March 29. Balogoun-Ali has plenty of modern value for the position and we all know Bill Belichick is looking to make a major recruiting splash at any turn. Earning a trip from a national recruit who seems wide-open at this stage of the process should provide intrigue on both sides with the potential early playing time available for Belichick's first full recruiting class.
COREY BARBER'S VISIT TO GEORGIA TECH ON MARCH 6
Many programs are working to line up trips of any kind for the nation's hottest wide receiver recruit, who has added droves of offers since the New Year began. Barber will kick off a monster slate of trips with a spring practice stop down I-20 at Georgia Tech, one of the options closest to home on the four-star's growing list. While his recruiting profiles rises in short order, a list of favorites has yet to officially emerge for the Alabama native so Georgia Tech getting the next in-person impression is extremely valuable if it is to content with the national heavyweights like Oregon, Georgia, Alabama and others that are now on Barber's list of options.
JORDAN CAMPBELL'S MARCH VISITS TO MIAMI
Nebraska, Missouri and many others programs continue to campaign for the longtime Miami commitment on the visit trail, but the ball remains in the Hurricanes' court. Campbell is set to spend considerable time at the local campus through Miami's spring practice slate, which opened on Monday, and there is already talk of the hometown team getting the top-100 prospect to slow down the visit process and potentially shut it down altogether. The Cornhuskers continue to present as the biggest threat and Campbell has flirted with a return to Lincoln for spring practice and/or for a summer official visit, so the push from Miami makes sense with the momentum Matt Rhule's program works for. This one is up in the air as of this writing.
DERREK COOPER'S VISIT TO MIAMI ON MAY 30
The nation's top all-purpose back is a former Georgia commitment and the Bulldogs continue to hold a place at or near the top of the five-star's list entering this visit window. Many programs are set to get Cooper on campus for both unofficial and official visits, including Kirby Smart's Bulldogs in the summer months. Miami will host him at least twice before that, including for the first official visit come May 30. Can Miami, or anyone else for that matter, close the gap with Georgia in short order? If so, Miami is the most likely option as we see it and those trips would become a major reason why.
DENAIRUS GRAY'S VISIT TO CLEMSON ON MARCH 8
Clemson is cautious with its recruiting procedures, including when it offers tenders to prospects committed elsewhere, so the program bringing in Gray this weekend commands attention. Gray has been committed to Auburn for well over a year, but droves of other programs have pushed for the top-100 playmaker since. Clemson potentially jumping in with an offer, given its history with Sunshine State wide receivers in particular, could provide a major tell in how contested this recruitment will become. Ohio State, Georgia and others are also circling the Tigers at this time.
