ACC schools latest to offer Williams

Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central safety Mykelti Williams has hit an even dozen scholarship offers after new tenders from a pair of ACC schools.
"I got offered by Wake Forest [Wednesday]," Williams reported. "They came through the school. I have been talking to their coaches on Twitter a little bit. I don't know much, but I do know they are in the ACC and they are a pretty good school for education."

The other new ACC offer is from Louisville, and their proximity to his Indianapolis home has Williams considering the Cardinals heavily.
"It's just 95 miles away, so it is basically in my backyard," Williams said. "They'll be one of the teams in the running when I make my cut.
"They're a city without an NBA team or the NFL team, so the Cardinals are the main priority. Their games are sold out almost every game, so playing in front of a big crowd like that would be awesome."
With Louisville now joining Williams' offer list, the three-star safety is working on scheduling a visit to their campus.
"I am going up there in June," Williams said. "I am pretty sure once I get down there I'll get to know most of the guys, talk to them about the coaches and get to know the ins and outs of the program."
Williams already has plans to visit Ole Miss on June 9 and Mississippi State on June 10. He is also looking to get out to Ohio State for a visit in June.
"Ohio State has actually been coming at me hard. I think they will probably be my next big offer," Williams said. "I talk to Coach [Kerry] Coombs, my recruiting coach, and then I talked to the safeties coach, Coach [Chris] Ash. He saw me work out the other day and we've been talking a lot."
Other schools that have yet to offer but are showing strong interest in Williams this spring include Syracuse, Michigan State, Georgia, N.C. State and Missouri.
