ACC offer for Georgia LB

Norcross (Ga.) Meadowcreek linebacker Cyhl Quarles picked up his first scholarship offer during the weekend.
"I got an offer from Wake Forest," Quarles said. "I went to their top prospect camp and they said I was a pretty good linebacker so they offered me. I think they only offered two or three other dudes at the camp, so that's pretty good."

With the offer, the Demon Deacons moved up considerably on the 6-foot-1, 191-pounder's list.
"It puts them toward the top," Quarles said. "I'm probably going to wait it out and see who else offers me before I commit, though."
It won't be too long of a wait, however.
"My thing is that I want to commit before the season so I can concentrate on my senior year," Quarles said.
In addition to working out at camp, Quarles got a chance to tour the Winston-Salem, N.C., campus.
"It was a real nice campus," he said. "They have real good academics."
Outside of Wake, Vanderbilt and Clemson also have been recruiting Quarles the hardest.
Jeff Mullen is recruiting Quarles for the Demon Deacons.
