Super recruit A.J. Nicholson went from a solid North Carolina oral commitment to a soft commitment a month or so back. You can now downgrade that to no commitment at all.
“I’m wide open now and I’m not committed to North Carolina anymore,” said the Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor superstar. “North Carolina is still on my list, but they’re at the bottom of my top five.”
The new top five for Nicholson includes Notre Dame, Tennessee, Florida, Michigan and Georgia. Nicholson is also considering Auburn and Miami. The 6-foot-2, 235-poun inside linebacker plans to visit most of them.
“I haven’t set up any visits yet, but I will soon,” he said. “I’m not quite sure which schools I’ll visit.”
Nicholson didn’t comment on why he changed his mind about North Carolina.
