ACC, Big East interested in PA athlete Kelly

Lansdale (Pa.) Lansdale Catholic athlete Jim Kelly is quickly garnering interest from teams across the East Coast. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder claims interest from the Big East, ACC and more.

"Boston College, Pittsburgh, Virginia and Duke are showing the most interest," he said. "I grew up loving Notre Dame. I've been a huge fan of them since I was a kid, but I don't know if I'd go there. I'm not sure I'd fit in. Going to the games though is great, it's loud the pregame is crazy and the campus is beautiful."

Already in the past year Kelly has been to Rutgers and Notre Dame.

"Both of them were great experiences and the games I went to last fall were exciting."

With no clear favorites, what is Kelly looking for in a college?

"Really I want somewhere I'll fit in, play and hopefully have some success," he said. "Location doesn't matter to me."

Later this spring Kelly plans to attend the Nike Combine in New York. He's also looking to go to Notre Dame, Rutgers and Connecticut for summer camps.

Last season Kelly hauled in 25 receptions for 454 yards and four touchdowns.
