Abbott to decide today

6-foot-9, 330 pound Courtney Abbott from Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake is right in the middle of an official visit, and is having such a good time, he said he might pull the plug tonight. All that is standing in his way is a conversation with this mother. Mother knows best, so the big question is: What will mother say?
“I loved Virginia,” he commented. “They lead, and I may decide after I talk to my mom tonight. If not this weekend, I will decide next weekend.”

Rated the No. 29 Offensive tackle in the country by Rivals.com and the No. 25 overall prospect in Georgia Abbott is currently on the Virginia campus and has had a good visit. He is being hosted by junior offensive guard, Elton Brown, and likes what he has seen.
“Elton is really cool, really nice,” Courtney commented. “He has shown me a lot. I would have to rate the visit a nine. It was just the atmosphere and the coaches. It feels like family.”
It was these attributes that moved the Cavaliers into the lead. Abbott has already visited Kentucky, officially, but the Virginia experience was just more suited to his tastes.
“Virginia is just a lot more comfortable,” he explained. “It just felt more like home.”
Abbott boasts over 25 football scholarships and also has almost ten in basketball. Football will be his only focus in college, though.
