A tough transition for Rhodes

Jerrell Rhodes is a running back that was hoping to be a part of the North Carolina football team. Rhodes, a three-star prospect from Durham, N.C., fell short academically. Rhodes now finds himself now in prep school at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va.
"I am not going to lie, it's been hard here," Rhodes said. "But I am coping with it. I am trying to adjust to the military life.

"We are waking up at 6 and the lights are out at 10. All of our cell phone were taken. We have to march. It's crazy but I am dealing with it. But in the end it will all be worth it."
Rhodes, who rushed for 1,290 yards as a senior, can't wait to get to the campus at Chapel Hill next fall.
"I still intend to play at UNC. That's where my heart is and to play for Butch Davis. I love the family atmosphere there and the coaching staff is cool. The players are great and I like the environment. I love the vibe. I can't wait to get to Carolina."
In the meantime Rhodes will work on his studies and contribute to his Hargrave team anyway possible.
"I think I can contribute well here even though there are a lot of good running backs. I think I have good vision and I can run and cut. That's the dimension I bring."
