Idalou, Texas athlete Shae Reagan chose the Texas Tech Red Raiders just on the final day of his visit. But will there be a signing day surprise?
“Really ever since he verbally committed to Texas Tech, it was one of those deals that he was wanting the whole process to be over,” Russ Reagan said. “He thought if he waited any longer, Tech might pull the offer. He knew TCU that there would be a spot there for him.”
The decision didn’t come easy for the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder.
“He thought a long time. He called Tech Monday and the phone has been ringing off the hook since then. He felt like he would have a better chance at TCU. They’ve always recruited him as a quarterback. He feels like they have more faith in him. He’s always been real close with the quarterback coach at TCU. They told him he was their guy. At Texas Tech he was going to be just another guy there.”
Reagan is the No. 24 rated athlete in the country but is expected to play quarterback for Gary Patterson's program.
