A quartet of SEC schools stand out to La'Dedric Jackson

Around a dozen schools have offered La'Dedric Jackson. The 6-foot-2, 200 pound athletic linebacker out of Montgomery (Ala.) Lanier has his eye on a quarter of schools in the SEC. A couple of the schools in his top four offered not too long ago and he likes what he sees a fit in those schools.

"I like Missouri, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee right now," said Jackson. "Two of my last three offers are from Ole Miss and LSU, so they have just jumped on me and I like both of those schools. I like the way all of those schools play and I think I could do well for them."

He recently saw his teammate James Foster commit to Missouri and that is a school Jackson feels he could make an early impact at.

"I like Missouri and I really want to get up there to visit. They have been showing me a lot of attention and I am really liking them right now. I like the way they play, I think I could got there and play and their coaches have been down here showing me I am important to them.

"We (La'Dedric and James) would love to play together in college. We have always liked a lot of the same schools, so it would be cool to stay together."

Ed Orgeron and the LSY Tigers offered Jackson earlier this spring and the Tigers' style of play as much as anything put them high on his list.

"I was a big fan of LSU growing up. They always have a top defense, they produce a lot of top linebackers and I think I could fit their scheme. They have great coaches and I hope to visit this summer."

A couple of schools Jackson has visited are Ole Miss and Tennessee. Jackson likes the attention he is getting from the Rebels and what the Vols have to offer.

"Ole Miss has a great atmosphere and I really like the school," Jackson. "They play fast linebackers and I think I fit in there really well. I am always hearing from them, getting motivational texts, spiritual texts and it is cool to know they are thinking about me.

"I have been up to Tennessee and it is great all over. Their facilities are great, the players are taken care of there and they offer a great education. Me and coach [Tommy] Thigpen (linebackers) have a good relationship, so that helps Tennessee with me too."

Four schools stand out to Jackson and he even mentioned that LSU may have a slight edge right now, but he is not going to rush his decision. He knows he has a lot to think about and he is not sure when he will be ready to make his decision.

"I have a big decision to make," said Jackson. "I am not sure yet when I want to commit. I have been thinking about that. I am just trying to find a place that I feel at home at.

"It could come this summer, but I may need to wait. I just have to find the right school first."
