A Major decision looming

The end is near for one of the nation's top players.
Parker (Colo.) Ponderosa four-star defensive end/linebacker Jon Major told Rivals.com moments ago that he will officially announce his college destination on Saturday.

And unlike other players that have press conferences announce on television, Major said he's taking the low-key approach.
"I'm announcing this Saturday, but it won't be a press conference or anything like that," Major said. "That's not my style. I'll just send everybody an e-mail and let them know the news."
Major, who is ranked as the nation's No. 73 player overall and the No. 1 player in Colorado, has scholarship offers from almost every national power. But he reduced his list a while back to Colorado, Michigan, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
He only took official visits to Colorado, Oklahoma and Wisconsin, so he is expected to pick between the Buffs, Sooners and Badgers.
"I don't want to say anything about my favorites yet," Major said. "Everybody will find out on Saturday."
As a junior, Major had 107 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss and one interception at linebacker. He had 109 tackles as a sophomore. Through eight games this season, Major has 123 tackles, 21 tackles for a loss, nine caused fumbles and seven sacks.
