"We lost our first game to (Cincinnati) St. X 7-0," Smith said. "We beat Highlands from Kentucky over the weekend 48-10.
"This weekend we play Tyler Lee from Texas in Columbus at Crew Stadium. Tyler Lee won the big school state championship in Texas last year. We play them on Friday night.
"Then I'm going to the Ohio State-Texas game on Saturday. I'm looking forward to it. My dad is going too.
"I still get mail from some schools, but Ohio State was the only one that called Sept. 1. Coach Tressel called.
"I'm not sure when my official visit will be. I could play either guard or tackle at Ohio State.
The 6-foot-6 and 300-pound Smith is the No. 3 prospect in Ohio in the Rivals.com player rankings. Smith had 17 "pancake" blocks in his team's opening game.
The 6-foot-1 and 200-pound Moeller is the No. 34 prospect in Ohio in the Rivals.com player rankings.
Moeller, along with his mother and father will be attending their first Ohio State game when they are in the Horseshoe on Saturday night. At one point it looked like Moeller would make a decision before the start of the football season, but there is no longer a timetable.
Among Moeller's scholarship offers are Ohio State, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Indiana, and Miami of Ohio, but speculation has Moeller deciding between the Buckeyes and Hawkeyes.
