A dozen offers for Holuba

Because of his obligations to lacrosse, three-star defensive end Kurt Holuba of Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic was not able to attend any spring camps. Now with his focus back on football, Holuba will begin to schedule visits and at least one summer camp.
"Recruiting is pretty good," said Holuba. "I've got 12 offers and a lot of schools have been in to see me so it's been good."

Holuba's four most recent offers came in from Arizona, Duke, Iowa and North Carolina, which joined his original offers from schools like Florida State, Boston College, Rutgers, Michigan State and Syracuse. He also claims serious recent interest from Wisconsin, Stanford, Virginia and Vanderbilt.
Up next for Holuba will be a number of visits.
"I'm planning on visiting Florida State, North Carolina, Duke, Virginia, Wisconsin and Stanford, but there is certainly room for more," he said. "I'll be looking for academics, facilities, scheme and just gauging how interested each school is in me. I just want to get the overall feel of each school."
While a majority of these trips will just be for visits, the Stanford visit will also include a camp.
"I just want to show them what kind of player I am," he said.
Holuba does not claim any current favorites, but he does have an idea of when he would like to make a final decision.
"Probably after my senior season," he said.
Finally, Holuba gave a quick update on how he and his team are preparing for the 2013 season.
"I feel like our team is working really hard and I'm confident about what we're going to do this year," he said.
