Eric Thomas is turning his focus
to a new group of teams.
"I
don't really have a favorite right now," he said. "North Carolina was my
favorite, but they just stopped recruiting me out of the blue. I had an
official visit set up with them for Jan. 10, but we cancelled that. Someone
told me they may have gotten a JUCO at my position."
Thomas, a member of the Rivals.com
Florida
Top 100 team and the No. 28 strongside defensive end in the
nation, replaced the UNC visit date with one for Clemson. He'll follow that
trip with Florida (1/17), Tennessee (1/24) and Florida State (1/31).
"I may take a fifth if I can find somewhere to go for a mid-week visit,"
he said. "Maybe South Florida or Ole Miss. They're both calling me a lot."
Thomas (6-2, 235, 4.9) said he's had in-home visits from Tennessee
(Stephens) and Florida (Anderson) in the last two weeks. He expects Florida
State to be in the house in early January.
As a senior at Columbia HS, Thomas recorded 10 sacks.
